The Johnson Solid Roller Lifter body is machined from a special formula of wear resistant heat-treated steel.  The special needle-bearing roller was designed to track true to the cam lob creating the least amount of friction and heat.  The push rod end is machined out allowing for a large oil reservoir and lightweight design.

Johnson Solid Roller Lifters are assembled with an oil metering plate and a precision coined push rod seat; this provides metered oil to the valve-train insuring proper oiling through the push rod.  The metering plate is crucial in maintaining the proper oil pressure through the entire operating range of the engine.

The Proprietary Tie Bar System connects the Lifter preventing Rotation and aiding in installation.  This Tie Bar System has proven successful in thousands of High Performance and Race Winning Engines.
